What Chennai's steel trade looks like

The CMDA lays out Sathangadu plainly: 850 plots, of which 723 had already been allotted, declared a market area from 1 March 1999, with SAIL and VSP named as the major stockists. The old industrial estates at Guindy — the first in India, from 1958 — and Ambattur sit inside the same city.
