A metal distributor holds coil, sheet, pipe and structural across several yards and supplies a network of dealers. The hard parts are knowing which yard holds what, keeping each yard's staff to their own stock, and billing every lorry on what was actually loaded. Running several yards on SteelERP
Each yard sees its own stock. Users are scoped to the warehouses they work in, so a supervisor at one yard loads and receives against that yard's stock only, while Super Admins see every yard. When material has to move, a warehouse transfer shifts it and the move is recorded in the inventory audit log.
Inward from the mill. A purchase order can take several purchase advices as the mill ships in parts, and each advice is received into the yard that actually got the lorry. An optional truck-in step at the security gate records lorries before unloading. Coil stock can be kept coil by coil, with coils allocated to orders and a movement history for each.
Outward to dealers. One dealer order can go out on several lorries. Each is a delivery sub-order with its own loading, challan and delivery status, and the challan PDF can go to the dealer on WhatsApp from your own WhatsApp Business account.
Watching the yards. Supervisor loading and unloading workload, orders assigned but not yet on a challan, and challans not printed the same day are all reported. A weekly PDF report (KPIs, top customers and top products) is emailed to the recipient list you set. Demand forecast and reorder suggestions are advisory: they inform the buying decision and never place an order.
